Austin is a studio artist studying at the University of Idaho. His primary body of work is in painting. The use of texture and color used in his paintings is striking and powerful, bringing the viewer into the painting to explore the way the paint moves and helping them to see the value of the paint itself. His subject matter is frequently abstract, lying right on the edge of reality. In attempting to make something feel real that is not he hopes to help whoever is viewing his art to imagine something that is not a reality and thus inspire them to realize the possibilities of what could be.
